All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People told us that they could choose and take part in a variety of activities in the community such as going to college, watching football and swimming. One person described how their college course was helping them to become more independent.

One person showed us their person centred plan in which they had listed the qualities that they wanted from the care staff supporting them. We asked this person if the care staff supporting them on the day of our visit, had all the skills and knowledge that they had listed. They responded that this member of care staff did meet the criteria, but that they could not be completely sure yet, as this was the first day that this particular member of staff had supported them. People said that they were familiar with and agreed with the content of their care plans and that they had been involved in writing them.

Most people who had returned an annual satisfaction questionnaire responded that they could choose what they wanted to do. They said that they had their own personal space and privacy. People who disagreed with this explained that they were not able to access all parts of home, due to risk assessments that were in place around their care. Everyone responded that staff treated them with respect.

Everyone who had completed an annual service questionnaire reported that the service had helped them to control their behaviours.
