Our view of the service

This assessment took place between 25 November 2025 and 12 January 2026 with an onsite visit to the registered location on 27 November 2025. Kind Tailored Care Ltd provides the regulated activity of personal care to adults who live with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and autism.

Kind Tailored Care Ltd is registered to deliver the regulated activity of personal care and treatment of disease, disorder or injury to people living in their own homes. At the time of this assessment, no one was receiving the regulated activity of treatment of disease, disorder or injury.

CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care’; such as help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our inspection there were 4 people using the service who were receiving personal care.

This is the first assessment for this newly registered service. Therefore, we assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions under the provider’s new registered location. As a result of our assessment, we rated the service good.

We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.

The care and support provided by the service has led to positive outcomes for people. People received person-centred care based on their choices and preferences. People were treated individually and were given real choices and control over how they wished to live their life.

We found people were supported to live a meaningful life and had been supported to access the community and to attend a range of activities in line with their needs and preferences.

Records relating to the planning and delivery of people’s care records were comprehensive and detailed.

People were supported by a team who knew them well. Staff spoke of people with kindness and compassion. There were regular opportunities for people and their relatives to provide feedback about their care and support.

Staff had been suitably recruited and trained to ensure people were supported by qualified, competent staff.

The management team carried out regular site visits and undertook governance checks to help them monitor people’s support needs and well-being. Systems were in place to oversee and monitor incidents and people’s care needs. Further development was needed to the provider’s monitoring systems to ensure they were sustainable if the service expanded.

People's experience of this service

We spoke to people and their relatives about their view of the service and examined the provider’s surveys and compliments submitted by people’s relatives about their opinions of the service, which were overwhelmingly positive. People’s relatives praised the service and provided many examples of how staff had supported people at their own pace to live a life of their choice. People’s relatives told us their family member felt safe when being supported by staff and they observe many good interactions between staff and their family member. One relative said, “Yes definitely. Yes, lots of times for example when things get unsteady, he reached out to them and they helped calm him down and gave reassurance, brilliant.” Another relative provided some background information about the family member’s previous placements and said, “Outstanding the things Kind Tailored Care have done helped us bring [name of person] back to where he was, he’s doing so much more with their help and support and on his own.” People and relatives said staff were kind and friendly and they have formed a good and trusting relationship with the staff team and managers. Communication was good and relatives were informed of incidents. Relatives made comments such as: “Line of communication is refreshing, we need to know as [persons name] can’t say any problems” and “Openness between the CEO of Kind Tailored Care to staff and us, is open and honest. There is a great deal of discussion how we can improve things although for the well and good of [person’s name]. If you keep talking and discuss how to keep things going and improve things. It’s like a family there.”
