During an assessment of Substance misuse services
The date of assessment was 29 and 30 July 2025.
We assessed the service due to the length of time since registration, and multiple information of concern notifications.
The service provides community-based substance misuse interventions including detoxification to over 2,000 young people and adults across Leicestershire and Rutland.
The service operates through 4 hubs: Loughborough, Coalville, Hinckley and Rutland. We visited all 4 hubs.
This was the first assessment for Turning Point Leicestershire & Rutland.
Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act Compliance
This service is a community Substance Misuse Service, therefore does not support service users who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
The provider had a policy on the Mental Capacity Act. Staff were aware of the policy and had access to it.
Staff had access to mandatory Mental Capacity Act training.
