All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People's privacy, dignity and independence was respected, as people understood the care and treatment choices available to them. One person said 'The staff know and interact with my daughter so well they give her dignity.'

Care and treatment was planned in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare. One person said 'There are risk assessments for my daughters complex needs which keep her safe.'

All staff were subject to appropriate checks and references were taken up prior to commencement of employment. Staff were trained to be able to deliver the care and support required by individuals. One person said 'I think that the staff were really well trained, they always seem very confident and able.'

We spoke to some of the managers, quality manager, staff and relatives of people who use the services by telephone. Comments we received were all positive and included 'I am so happy with the service it has enabled my sister to have a life where she can make decisions and enjoy some quality.'

Staff members we spoke to told us that it was a good trust to work for and that they felt valued and listened to.

Staff spoken to had a good awareness of individuals care needs and the importance of treating people with respect and dignity. This was confirmed by training provided by the provider around respect and dignity and by talking to people who use services relatives. One person said 'The staff are dedicated and want to give the best service'.
