Date of on-site assessment visits: 2 February and an out of hours inspection 11 February 2026. Further review of documents took place off-site and telephone calls were made to people using the service and their relatives in the period 23 February to 27 February 2026.

Trusted Care Southwest Ltd is a domiciliary care provider (home care), registered with the CQC in May 2022. At the time of assessment, the service was delivering Personal care to 45 people living in their own homes.

This was the first assessment of the service since they were registered with the CQC. Following this assessment, we have rated the service good.
The service received strong praise from people using it, their relatives, a stakeholder and staff. Day to day care was managed effectively, and both the provider and staff demonstrated open, inclusive values which helped build trust with those receiving support.

Robust policies and procedures ensured safe medicines management, safe care in people’s homes and appropriate responses to concerns. The provider had effective systems to monitor performance and identify emerging trends.

Care was delivered safely, supported by a proactive safety culture, thorough assessments and evidence based practice. Staff worked collaboratively with external professionals to ensure coordinated and responsive care planning.

Safeguarding, infection control and risk management processes were well understood and consistently applied. Staff received regular supervision, training and support, and consent was always sought in line with the Mental Capacity Act.

People's experience of the service

Updated 15 January 2026

People received kind, compassionate and person centred care from staff who knew them well and treated them with dignity and respect. Care plans were personalised, reflecting each person’s preferences, background and needs, and staff supported individuals to maintain independence, make choices and stay connected to their communities. One person told us, "Staff help me to get a shower, take me shopping, getting the essentials what I need and help me with medicines and with meals, they help me with this too".

Relatives described staff as attentive and caring, and they felt well informed about any changes. People and their families were confident they could raise concerns, and clear processes were in place.
Relatives were happy with the way their loved ones were supported and told us staff had the right skills and training. One relative told us, “Staff are dedicated, hardworking and kind, they look after [my family member] very well.”

Staff promoted people’s health and wellbeing, responded promptly to their needs and helped to reduce distress. People were treated fairly and without discrimination, and staff were confident in upholding people’s rights, including seeking consent appropriately.
