Other evidence

The doctors who provide this service are registered appropriately. They receive annual appraisals and training at the NHS trusts where they also work. These are kept on file at this location. We saw the system of audit of their prescribing and the way the registered manager undertakes the doctors’ annual appraisal.

We saw the system of training for staff who work at the call centre that handles any personal calls from people using the service. There is a contract with this service. The contract specifically states that call centre staff must not offer medical advice to people.
