South Wold Nursing Home

Date of assessment: 13 May to 29 May 2025.

South Wold Nursing Home is a care home who provide nursing and residential care to up to 16 older adults and people who may be living with dementia. At the time of the inspection there were 15 people living at the service.

At our last inspection the service was rated good. The service has remained good.

The service had a positive learning culture, staff were informed of any learning and changes in people’s care. The service ensured safe transition of care by working closely with other professional’s, people and their families.

Staff received and were up to date with the training they needed to support people.

The service referred people to other health and social care agencies where people needed additional support. The service delivered evidenced based care by using nationally recognised tools. Staff made sure to gain consent prior to delivering personal care.

People and their families told us they were very happy with the service they received.  We were told that the staff were kind caring, and respectful. One person said, “Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they take the time to listen to me.” All of the people and relatives we spoke with said they felt safe at the service. They said that the registered manager was approachable and they would be able to discuss any concerns with them. A relative said, “It was the best decision I have made moving [person's name] to South Wold Nursing Home. The registered manager is always available and happy to help.” People’s care was reviewed with their or their relative's involvement. The care they received was personalised risk were mitigated and their wishes respected.
