Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 27 May to 3 September 2026.

Sante Care at Home Ltd is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects services where people receive the regulated activity of personal care. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our assessment, 13 people were receiving a personal care or live in care service.

The service received praise from people using it, their relatives and staff. Day to day care was managed effectively, and both the registered manager and staff demonstrated open, inclusive values which helped build trust with those receiving support.

Robust policies and procedures ensured safe medicines management, safe care in people’s homes and appropriate responses to concerns. The provider had effective systems to monitor performance and identify emerging trends.

Care was delivered safely, supported by a proactive safety culture, thorough assessments, and evidence-based practice. Staff worked collaboratively with external professionals to ensure coordinated and responsive care planning.

Safeguarding, infection control, and risk management processes were well understood and consistently applied. Staff received regular supervision, training and support, and consent was always sought in line with the Mental Capacity Act.

People's experience of this service

People said they felt safe with staff and were happy with the support provided by them. Comments included, “Yes, I can speak to staff if I have any concerns about my [relative]”; “If I have ever had a worry, I have contacted [management team] and they immediately responded”; “I am very happy with the carer who is looking after my [relative] at the moment and, yes, [relative] is definitely safe; “My [relative] has waking night staff and then day carers, and there doesn’t seem to be any problem with timing, especially as one can’t leave without the other turning up” and “Timekeeping is never an issue.”

People received kind, compassionate and person-centred care from staff who knew them well and treated them with dignity and respect. Care plans were personalised, reflecting each person’s preferences, background and needs, and staff supported individuals to maintain independence, make choices, and stay connected to their communities.

Comments included, “[Staff member] is really good at giving [relative] choices, which [relative] really likes, they go out of their way to offer them”; “Yes, they are very good and are trying their best to help [person’s name] quality of life. A good example would be the carer at the moment, who puts on music that my [relative] loves in the morning and will often discuss photos and family memories”; “The carer at the moment is very thoughtful towards my [relative] and really goes out of their way to make sure that my [relative] feels as emotionally comforted as they can” and “All the carers we have are caring, kind and compassionate. We have a special group.”

Relatives described staff as attentive and caring, and they felt well informed about any changes.

People and their families were confident they could raise concerns, and there were clear processes. They said, “Any little niggles are normally sorted out” and “Yes, I know how to raise a concern and how to escalate it.”

Relatives were happy with the way their loved ones were supported and told us staff had the right skills and training.

People confirmed their needs were met by staff in partnership with relevant health and social care professionals. Comments included, “Yes, I am very involved in making decisions about my [relative’s] care. Personal care has been an issue because it is very difficult for just one person to do personal hygiene, but we are getting more help from the occupational therapist, who has organised it.”

Staff promoted people’s health and wellbeing, responded promptly to their needs, and helped to reduce distress. People were treated fairly and without discrimination, and staff were confident in upholding people’s rights, including seeking consent appropriately.
