During a routine inspection

People told us their needs were met. We spoke with six people. They all told us that their care needs were met. One person told us they were 'very happy' and another person told us that the staff 'do everything I need. I have only got to ask.' People had access to activities.

People spoke highly about the food they were offered and were given a choice of suitable food and drink to meet their nutritional needs.

The home was in a good state of repair and there were rails to stairs and sloped areas to promote people's independence.

The home had systems in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the service and people's views were sought.

During a routine inspection

During the visit, we spoke with one person who was using the service and one visitor. They told us the staff kept them involved in the review of their care and always asked for permission before they delivered care.

The people we spoke with told us they were happy with the care they received. They told us the staff discussed their care needs with them on a regular basis.

They told us the staff were very friendly, caring and responsive. One person said 'The staff treat people with great kindness and respect.'

They also told us that they had no concerns about the care they received and would speak to the senior staff or the registered manager if they had any concerns.

During a routine inspection

People who live in the home said that their care needs were met and they were looked after. They knew how to raise any concerns and felt safe.

We saw that people are able to chose how they spend their time and participate in meaningful activities. People are supported by staff who are able to give person centred care. People's privacy and dignity is respected, but the actions of some staff does not make sure this is consistent.

People receive their medicines in a safe manner.
