During a routine inspection
People told us that they were asked for their consent before their live-in carer provided any care or support. It was clear from people we spoke with that carers acted in accordance with their wishes and people made their own decisions about their daily living.
Care plans were personalised to the individual and gave detailed information about how the person wanted their care and support to be provided. Appropriate arrangements were in place to support people to take their medication.
The provider ensured that there was a mix of carers, with a range of skills, to be able to match carers with people who used the service. Carers were recruited and introduced to people by the provider. The provider had an on-going role in monitoring the quality of the care provided to people. There were systems in place to regularly review the care and support provided and to ask people for their views of the service they received.
