During our visit we spoke with family members, who confirmed that their relative was treated with respect, dignity and as an individual. They also confirmed that the environment was much cleaner and brighter since the main corridor had been redecorated. They confirmed that they can discuss any and all issues with the manager who was kind, supportive and helpful. People who used the service confirmed that they felt safe in the service and that the staff were nice.

During an inspection in response to concerns

Generally the staff were very well liked and respected by the service users and families. However, a shortage of staff was often seen which meant that staff were very busy and care was at times missed.

One family member stated that the staff were very good and there was no language difficulty even as English was the majority of staff's second language. However, it was stated that they do talk over the service users in their own language.

During a visit to the home family members stated that the home looked very tired and was in great need of re-decoration. Also that it has taken a long time to get the lack of lift facilities sorted out.
