During our inspection we spoke with four patients who were at varying stages of their treatment, the manager, the nurse and the surgeon at the clinic to help us assess compliance. We found that patients were provided with comprehensive information about the proposed treatment, the risks, benefits and treatment options. These were explained in detail to make sure patients gave informed consent to surgery.
There was careful assessment of people's physical and psychological health before surgery to make sure there would be no unnecessary risks to their wellbeing if surgery was performed on them. Patients told us the post operative care and treatment they received was very good. One patient said, "I have seen the nurse twice since surgery, she is very good."
Patients told us they felt safe throughout their treatment and we saw there were policies in place to safeguard children and adults from harm or abuse. The staff understood and implemented these policies.
The patients we spoke with told us the staff were competent and knowledgeable. One patient said, "I feel the staff have been skilled and confident. They are very helpful."
Complaints were recorded, acknowledged, investigated and responded to in line with the company policy. Attempts were made to resolve issues to the patient's satisfaction where possible.
Patients we spoke with were very satisfied. One said, "I feel in safe hands, the staff and surgeon are so confident and knowledgeable."
