During a routine inspection

We reviewed more than 45 questionnaires completed by patients who had used the service in the last year. These showed that patients were very satisfied with the care and treatment provided at the service. For example, one patient wrote, 'the whole experience I had at Transform was excellent.' Staff were described as 'very helpful', 'informative' and 'excellent.'

Patients considered the service was always very clean and we saw that effective systems for infection control were being implemented so that the risk of infection was minimised.

The premises were well maintained and safe for patients. Care and treatment was provided with equipment that was regularly maintained and fit for purpose. Accurate records of patient care and treatment were maintained and these were kept securely.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people using the service and three staff working in the clinic, including the registered manager. People told us they were very happy with the care and treatments they received from Transform Medical Services. They told us surgical procedures, the costs of treatment and any risks were always explained to them. Their comments included “it’s been a really good experience, everyone was really friendly and helpful” and “the service was excellent. I rang up and had my first appointment the next day.”

People told us they felt safe using the service. One person said “everyone is very professional. They know what they’re doing and I never had any concerns.”

There were systems in place to make sure appropriate checks were carried out before staff worked in the clinic. There were also effective systems in place for responding to complaints.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with people who use the service during our visit, and looked at some completed patient satisfaction surveys from the previous eight months. People said that they were treated with respect, had treatment choices explained to them, and that that staff behaved in a way that put them at ease both pre and post-surgery. Comments included, 'The people at Transform were so helpful and friendly.'

People said that they were happy with the care provided. People said that they found the staff at the service to behave in a professional but friendly manner, which helped to reassure people.

The majority of people were happy with the results of their treatment, and some people said that they would recommend the service to friends. Comments included, 'It's a brilliant service' and 'Very pleased with everyone at Finchley.'
