During a routine inspection
The records we looked at showed treatments; associated risks and cost had been fully explained. We saw patient records contained consent forms that were signed and dated. This demonstrated patients understood and agreed to their treatment.
We saw there were procedures in place to deal with any possible medical emergencies. We saw staff had access to an emergency drugs kit, first aid box and oxygen. These were securely stored and easily accessible to staff. We saw records to demonstrate oxygen cylinders were checked on a weekly basis this included a check on the level and flow of oxygen.
We saw evidence to demonstrate staff had attended infection control training. There was a named infection control lead that was responsible for carrying out audits.
