During a routine inspection

We spoke to two people who told us that staff explained all the procedures and treatments to them and respected their decisions about their treatment and care. One person said, 'The clinic staff were really good they answered all my questions and explained everything clearly."

People who used the service told us they were happy with the care and treatment they received in the clinic. One person told us, "I really appreciated all that they have done for me."

We found people received care and treatment in a clean environment with infection control measures in place to minimise the risk of infection. People we spoke with told us the clinic was always clean and tidy. One person we spoke with said, "The clinic is always very clean and tidy."

We looked at three staff files and saw evidence in each file of robust checks being undertaken prior to the commencement of employment.

We found the provider had effective systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. We were shown an audit calendar detailing when audits were to be undertaken throughout a 12 month period.

People told us that staff explained all the procedures and treatments to them and respected their decisions about their treatment and care. One person said, 'On the day of the operation I signed the consent forms, all the risks were fully explained to me."

People who used the service told us they were happy with the care and treatment they received in the clinic. One person told us, "It's been brilliant; I'm really pleased with everything. The nurses at the hospital and here (clinic) were excellent, they've been great."

We found people received care and treatment in a clean environment with infection control measures in place to minimise the risk of infection. People we spoke with told us the unit was always clean and tidy. One person we spoke with said, "The clinic is very clean."

Staff employed at the clinic had access to further training and told us that they felt supported by the provider. One staff member said they had, 'An excellent induction and ongoing training.'

The provider had a system in place to deal with comments and complaints. People who used the service could be confident that their comments and complaints were listened to.
