During a routine inspection

We were unable to gain feedback for all of the outcomes due to people using the service not being able to communicate with us verbally. Where possible they shared their views through gestures, facial expressions and body language.

Some people had limited communication skills but from their actions indicated that they were happy and they also appeared relaxed with staff. One person told us that they liked it in the home. They confirmed that they could choose what they wanted to eat for lunch and that they liked the food at the home. They also showed us their room and this had pictures and personal items. Other people were unable to express their feelings about their home, but their rooms had been personalised and they appeared content in their surroundings.

Whilst visiting the home it was noted that the people who used the service were happy with staff and some would hold hands and request physical contact. One person who was able to communicate did not express any concerns about the staff and appeared to get on well with them.
