We spoke to two people who used the service and they told us that they enjoyed staying at Travis Gardens. They told us that the staff were helpful and supported them.

During an inspection looking at part of the service

People we spoke with told us that they enjoyed staying at Travis Gardens, and staff were always there to support them to maintain their independence. One person told us "I like staff to help me with washing, drying and brushing my hair. Staff also helped me to develop my care plan. The plan explains the things I like to do and people that are important to me".

22 November 2011

During a routine inspection

People told us that they liked staying at the home as they were able to make friends with new people. They were able to continue to attend day centres and college and the home provided transport to support people to maintain contact in the community. People told us that staff had supported them at difficult times and they thought the staff were more like friends.
