During a routine inspection

Due to the nature of the service, we were unable to speak with people who used the service. We did however speak with two members of staff.

People's privacy, dignity and confidentiality were respected. People's preferences and medical conditions were taken into account in relation to how care and treatment was delivered.

People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. People's treatment plans contained accurate levels of information that ensured their needs were being met.

The equipment and facilities were appropriate and well maintained. People were protected from unsafe or unsuitable equipment.

People were treated by staff who were supported to deliver care safely and to an appropriate standard. Staff had a programme of on-going training and appraisal.

There were quality monitoring programmes in place, which included people giving feedback about their care, support and treatment. This provided an overview of the quality of the service's provided.

During a routine inspection

We were not able to speak to people who used the service. However, we looked at the, 'Patient Satisfaction Survey' information that the care provider had analysed. We saw that the majority of people had rated their overall experience of the service as excellent or good.

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We did not contact people who use the service when carrying out this review.

The last time we visited the service in December 2011 we said that the Laserslim Cosmetic Services Limited was not meeting one or more of the essential standards and that improvements were needed.

We found that arrangements were not in place regarding staff training on safeguarding. We could not be assured that all staff were aware of the appropriate procedures. We issued a compliance actions and the purpose of this review was to see what action the care provider has taken in order to comply with Regulation 23.
