Date of assessment: 20 to 21 April 2026.

Excelcare Agency Ltd is a care agency providing personal care and support to people living in their own homes.

The service was registered with CQC on 13 May 2022, and this is the first assessment. Following this assessment, we have rated the service good.

People received safe care and treatment. The provider assessed risks to their safety and planned for these. People received their medicines in a safe way and as prescribed. The provider supported people to live in safe and clean environments.

There were enough suitable staff. People were supported by familiar care workers who arrived on time. Staff were appropriately trained and understood people’s needs. Staff were well treated and felt supported.

The provider assessed people’s needs and choices. They helped to plan care which reflected these needs. Staff monitored people’s health and wellbeing. People consented to their care. They made decisions about how they wanted to be cared for.

Staff treated people with kindness and respect. People were supported to be independent when they wanted this, and it was safe for them.

People received person-centred care which reflected their needs. They had copies of their care plans which had been translated into other languages when needed. The provider gave people a range of guidance about the service. The provider regularly contacted people for feedback and to ask for their views.

There were effective systems for monitoring the service and making improvements.

People using the service and their relatives were happy with the care they received. People had a good experience of the agency. They liked their care workers, who they described as kind, caring and efficient. People explained care workers were well matched, speaking their first language and providing culturally appropriate support.

People were able to make decisions about their care and told us their choices were respected. Staff provided good quality care which relatives told us made a difference for people’s lives. People had nice relationships with staff who spent time engaging with them.

People and their relatives were able to speak with managers when they needed. They told us the agency was responsive when they requested changes.

People felt safe with care workers and were confident they were well trained and knowledgeable. Comments from people and their relatives included, “I have nothing bad to say. Everything is good and we are very happy” and “The agency are helpful and kind. We have no concerns.”
