Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure that PPE is being worn and used correctly by staff, including agency staff to prevent and control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. In doing so, the registered provider must have regard to current Government guidance on COVID-19 detailed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-admission-and-care-of-people-in-care-homes/coronavirus-covid-19-admission-and-care-of-people-in-care-homes. By 08 February 2021 the registered provider must send a report to CQC detailing what actions have been taken to ensure PPE is being worn and used correctly.

The Registered Provider must undertake a review of all infection control procedures regarding COVID-19. This must include; visiting procedures, cleaning procedures, PPE storage and disposal of PPE and clinical waste. In doing so, the registered provider must have regard to current Government guidance on COVID-19 which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-admission-and-care-of-people-in-care-homes/coronavirus-covid-19-admission-and-care-of-people-in-care-homes. By 15 February 2021 the registered provider must send a report to CQC detailing what actions have been taken to ensure safe procedures are in place to reduce the risk of infection.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only Accommodate a maximum of 80 service users at Bowburn Care Centre.
