Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 24 April 2026

This assessment was undertaken due to the length of time since our last visit to the service. Aspire Care Services – East London provides care to people living in their own home. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social provided. At the time of the assessment 40 people were receiving personal care.

People's needs were assessed before they began using the service so the provider knew they could meet their needs. Staff received an induction and training before starting work, so they knew what to do when they started working with people.

There were systems to safeguard people from abuse. Risks to people were assessed and monitored. Staff were provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect people from the risk of cross infection.

Staff were happy working at the service and said they were supported. They received on-going training and development opportunities through spot checks, supervisions and team meetings. They understood how to recognise potential signs of abuse and the need to obtain consent from people prior to providing care.

Systems to monitor the quality and safety of the service were in place. Staff reported having a positive relationship with the provider and felt communication was effective.

People said staff were caring and that their time keeping was good. People said on the whole staff knew them as an individual and knew that they liked to be independent where they could.

People said management was good and both staff and the registered manager were open and approachable. They told us they would have no concerns raising a complaint, or speaking up, but they had not had a need to so far.

People were involved in developing their care plan and they said they generally saw the same staff all the time. They told us the service was flexible and adaptive to their needs.
