Our current view of the service

Date of assessment: 15 May to 30 May 2025. Seven Hills Homecare is a care at home service providing support to adults living in their own homes. At the time of our assessment there were 53 people receiving personal care. This was the first assessment of this service. We looked at all quality statements in order to provide a rating. The service has been rated good. Systems and processes were in place to ensure lessons were learnt when things went wrong. Risks associated with people’s care and support were identified and managed to keep people safe. People received their medicines from staff who were trained and competent to administer medicines safely. Staff were trained and supported to deliver safe care and staff knew people well. Processes were in place to ensure people were able to raise concerns and appropriate action was taken to rectify them. People were involved in their care planning and their preferences and choices were included to ensure people received their support how they wanted. The provider had a good governance system which supported them to monitor and review the service and identify any actions to improve.

People spoke highly about the support they received. One person said, “I think the carers are wonderful and I feel very safe with them all the time.” One relative said, “I would rate the quality of care 10 out of 10 without doubt. There is nothing negative I could say about it.” Other relatives shared the same views. People and relatives said they had regular carers who knew them well. One relative said, “We have no safety issues with the care that my relative is getting. The carers are very polite and really respect my relative. We get a cluster of the same familiar faces. They don’t change without my relative knowing. I am happy with the continuity.” People felt staff genuinely cared and supported them to maintain their independence. People were involved in devising their care plans and reviewing them. One relative said, “We have a care plan and it accurately reflects the care being undertaken.” People and relatives told us the management team were supportive and responded to their calls. One person said, “My relationship with management and office staff is really good. They are always on the end of the phone when I need any advice or support.” Another person said, “I have a brilliant relationship with the manager.”
