During an inspection in response to concerns

During the inspection, time was spent observing the interactions and conversations between staff and people who use the service. People spoken to appeared content and gave smiles to questions when talking to us. In total four people were able to tell us about the care and support they receive at this home. They said that they were happy at the home, that the staff were very good and that they enjoyed the meals.

The atmosphere was noted to be calm and staff were interacting in a respectful manner. Appropriate conversations overheard included people being offered choices and asking for their opinions about meals and activities that were carried out throughout the day.

The appearance of all the people was much improved from what was noted at the last inspection. They were dressed appropriately and their hair was washed and brushed.
