Governance, management and sustainability
The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. They used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. Information about risks, performance, and outcomes was reviewed and shared appropriately when needed.
At the previous assessment, auditing systems for health and safety, infection prevention and control and medicines management were not effective. At this inspection, we found these systems had improved. Effective auditing systems were now in place and actively used to identify concerns and drive improvements. For example, regular equipment checks were completed, and health and safety meetings were held between the registered manager and maintenance team to review any issues. The registered manager had introduced monthly night-time leadership visits to observe the environment, care delivery and people’s wellbeing. Senior leaders maintained clear oversight of governance arrangements, which strengthened accountability and supported a culture of continuous improvement.
