All Inspections

During a routine inspection

The home had recently been completely refurbished to a very high standard. There were new carpets, furniture and white goods throughout. The stairlift had recently been replaced and the home was very comfortable and homely. People gave universally positive comments about the home.

One person said;

"I couldn't get any better than this"

Another person told us;

"It's marvellous! the food; the people, it's a home."

A relative told us;

"We are happy she is here, she is eating well here, she wasn't at home."

Staff told us;

"The service is evolving and there are always improvements to be made, when you turned up unexpectedly, we knew things would be right, we have always welcomed feedback from inspections"

People received high quality individualised care which respected their choices and wishes. People needs and risks had been fully assessed and care was also recorded appropriately and in line with good practice.

We found that people benefitted from high quality nutritious food and drink and people were protected against the risks associated with medicines because the provider had appropriate arrangements in place to manage medicines.

People were also protected from unsafe or unsuitable equipment.

The three staff we spoke with had a good knowledge of the care needs of people living in the home. We found that people were involved in decisions about their care.

We found there were appropriate arrangements in place for supporting staff working in the home.

We found evidence of good communication with other agencies.
