Kindness, compassion and dignity
The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
One person who told us, “They (staff) look after me very well.” We observed warm, unhurried interactions. People had clearly developed close relationships with staff and all interactions were warm and good-humoured. One staff member recognised someone was sticky from eating a cake, they knelt in front of the person and gently said “I’ve come to help you. You’ve really enjoyed that.” After asking permission to clean their glasses they said, “Let’s pop them goggles back on!”
