During a routine inspection

We carried out this inspection to check on the care and welfare of people. There were two people living at the home on the day of the inspection. We spoke with two people, one staff member, and two owners, one of whom was the registered manager.

We found that people were treated with respect. Records showed how staff involved people in their care and treatment.

We saw that people were well presented and wore clothes that reflected their own preferences, style, and gender. One person said, 'I have lived here all my life, I like it.' People had regular access to see other health professionals, when needed.

We found that arrangements were in place to ensure that people were safeguarded from harm.

We found that recruitment and section processes were consistent. Arrangements were in place to ensure that only staff suitable to work with vulnerable adults were employed.

Systems were in place to record and follow-up complaints and comments although none had been received. One person said, 'I am really happy here.'

During an inspection looking at part of the service

3 Paradise provides good quality care in a warm and homely environment. The staff actively promote the independence of people who live there and respect their individual preferences. People are supported to go into the community to participate in activities they enjoy such as ten pin bowling and the cinema. We saw that staff had a good rapport with people living in the home. One person we spoke to said, " I like living here. I am really happy". There are quality monitoring systems in place to ensure that the home is run in the best interests of people living there.
