During a routine inspection

Two people who use services and one relative were quite positive about their experiences. They gave examples of the kind of support they received from the service: 'I just need help with my cooking, but the support staff come along on time to do this', 'I keep my medication in my room and they supervise me to take it.' They said the staff were 'helpful' and 'understanding'.

However one resident did not always feel happy with all the support workers, saying, 'I'm fussy about who works with me. I don't really like some of the staff', 'Some staff knock, but others just come in' [to my home].

A number of the people who use services were not able to communicate with us, but we observed how they were being cared for. The staff members seemed polite, professional and understanding of people's needs.
