All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We visited the administrative office of the organisation where we reviewed documentation and spoke with the management team. Later we spoke with staff and people who used the service and their relatives over the telephone.

People we spoke with told us they were satisfied with the service and they felt that their dignity was respected. One person we spoke with said 'They are really good; they are really helpful' another said 'I am very pleased with them, they are friendly'. Staff we spoke with said people were treated with respect and their privacy and dignity was respected at all times.

Care workers told us the staffing levels were appropriate and staff were supported through their training. The staff we spoke with were complimentary regarding the training they had been provided with. One member of staff told us 'The training is great' another said 'It's a great place to work and train'.

We found people's care was appropriately planned and risks to people's health and safety were assessed.

We found the provider had suitable recruitment procedures in place which ensured staff employed were suitable and of good character.

Appropriate and accurate records were in place in relation to people who used the service and staff.

During a routine inspection

We found that there were processes in place that ensured people were treated with dignity and respect. We also found risk assessments and support plans provided adequate information to ensure people's needs were met. However, the information on occasion wasn't always explicitly clear. We found staff were clear about safeguarding processes and understood the different signs of abuse and how to report any concerns. In addition, we found staff were well supported in their role and received adequate training and supervision. We also found the provider had an effective complaints process and complaints had been managed appropriately.

People that used the service were happy with the support they received. One person said "the staff were pleasant" and another person said "they couldn't fault the service". Another person we spoke with said they were "generally happy" with the service.
