During a routine inspection
People who live at the home spoke highly of their carers and told us that they were cared for in the way they wanted. People said that they were confident that carers understood their needs and that they felt able to make decisions and choices about things that were important to them.
People said that they liked their home and felt comfortable living there. One resident said, ''It's a nice house, it always looks nice.''
People also told us that they felt staffing had improved both in terms of numbers of staff and consistency. Residents commented that they now felt more able to make plans for social activities and that they had more confidence that staff members would be provided to support them.
Carers we spoke with also felt that staffing levels had improved and commented that there was better consistency for the residents because staff were not being moved to other parts of the service which had been a problem in the past.
Carers told us that the provision of training was much improved and also that more team meetings and one to one supervisions with the manager made them feel more supported and motivated.
We received positive feedback from other professionals we spoke with including some social workers of people using the service and contracts monitoring officers. Comments included that managers at the service were very cooperative and receptive to new ideas.
