Victoria Court is a residential care home for adults of all ages and can accommodate up to 40 people. Our assessment began with an unannounced on-site visit on 19 February 2026, at which time 40 people were using the service. Following the visit, the assessment continued off site, during which we reviewed documentation and gathered feedback from relatives and visiting professionals.
Staff were described as kind and caring. People were supported to participate in decisions about their care. They were assisted by staff who knew them well, demonstrated confidence in their roles, and understood how to provide support safely. A range of activities was planned in line with people’s individual needs and preferences.
People’s independence was promoted, and their dignity and privacy were respected.
Care plans and risk assessments reflected people’s assessed needs and provided staff with guidance on measures to mitigate identified risks. Staff received training, as well as ongoing management oversight and support, which contributed to the delivery of safe and effective care.
The management team promoted a learning culture focused on continuous improvement. They worked with partner organisations and involved people, relatives, and staff in the ongoing development of the service.
