The food was described as 'good' and there was plenty of it; the heating and ventilation of the premises made the home comfortable; there were no complaints about the standard of care and the staff were said to be 'lovely'.
They were satisfied with how their care was provided and they felt that their rights were valued and upheld. The people said that the staff respected them and were kind and caring. One person said that a member of staff "Cheers me up. I think she is marvellous".
People living in the home were able to direct and influence how they received their care and were able to self determine routines such as rising and retiring times. The people we spoke with said that the staff asked them what they would like to do, such as when they would like to get up and when they would like to be helped with their personal care.
Three of the people, who we spoke with said that they felt cold whilst they were sat within their bedrooms. People expressed satisfaction with the cleaning routines and levels of cleanliness in the home and were aware of how the staff worked to reduce any risk of cross infection.
