The assessment was conducted remotely from 13 April to 30 April 2026. Detailed Care Ltd is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of assessment, the service was supporting 7 people. This was the first assessment of this service, and we rated the service good. The service provides care and support to adults over the age of 65 and adults under the age of 65, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. The provider delivers personalised, person‑centred care designed to support individuals to remain safe, well, and as independent as possible within their own homes.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects services where personal care is provided this includes assistance with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where applicable, any wider social care provided is also considered.
The provider demonstrated a strong and proactive approach to delivering safe, effective, and high‑quality care, underpinned by openness, honesty, and continuous learning. Robust systems were in place to identify, manage, and reduce risk, including regular auditing of incidents, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, medicines management, and environmental safety. Clear records, investigations, and action monitoring ensured learning was embedded and risks reduced. Care and treatment were effective and evidence‑based, supported by thorough assessment, personalised care planning, accurate daily records, and staff training to recognise and respond to changes in health. Strong multidisciplinary working with healthcare partners supported coordinated, joined‑up care, while clear consent processes and Mental Capacity Act training ensured care was delivered lawfully and appropriately.
The provider fostered a strong caring and responsive culture grounded in kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect. Care was personalised and flexible, promoting independence, choice, and control, with systems in place to respond promptly to immediate needs. Inclusive practices supported equity in access, experiences, and outcomes, alongside accessible information and future planning, including end‑of‑life arrangements. Leadership was visible, capable, and inclusive, supported by a clear Statement of Purpose and a positive organisational culture that encouraged staff engagement, speaking up, and continuous development. While governance arrangements and quality audits were in place, the provider was taking steps to further strengthen strategic oversight through more formal action planning. Overall, strong partnership working, workforce wellbeing, and an embedded learning culture supported sustainable, person‑centred care delivery.
