Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must ensure that all service users’ care plans and risk assessments are reviewed, updated and monitored including care needs relating to mental health needs (including ideation of suicide or self harm), distressed behaviours: including physical aggression, respiratory health, diabetes, alcohol dependency, constipation and individuals with limited mobility. A report demonstrating what actions you have taken to ensure service users’ needs can be met must be submitted to the Commission within 14 days of the date of this notice taking effect.
The registered provider must ensure an environmental audit is undertaken, including any steps taken to safely manage the risks posed by people smoking within the service. A report demonstrating what actions you have taken to ensure service users’ environmental safety, including fire safety must be submitted to the Commission within 14 days of the date of this notice taking effect.
The registered provider must ensure an audit of mental capacity assessments is undertaken for all service users to ensure these are compliant with the Mental Capacity Act code of practice and remain the least restrictive option and are in the best interest of the relevant service user. A report demonstrating what actions you have taken must be submitted to the Commission within 14 days of the date of this notice taking effect.
Within 5 days of this notice taking effect, the registered person must provide the Care Quality Commission with a written description of the systems it has implemented to ensure quality and safety of the service, including in relation to the identification, monitoring, assessment and mitigation of risks to service users. Thereafter, the Registered Person must send a report to the Commission on the first Monday of each second month confirming the details of completed audits and checks. This must include any shortfalls identified at the service and responsive actions, clearly identifying who is responsible for progressing the actions and timescales for doing so.
The registered provider must ensure that staff are trained and competent to support service users safely. This includes, but not limited to, training in relation to risks associated with mental health needs (including ideation of suicide or self harm), distressed behaviours: including physical aggression, respiratory health, diabetes, alcohol dependency, constipation and individuals with limited mobility. within 7 working days of the date of this notice taking effect.
The registered person must instruct a suitably qualified, skilled and competent mental health professional to undertake oversight of governance of the service, including staff training and competencies within 14 working days of this notice taking effect.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 16 service users at Welcome House - Leeza Court.
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Welcome House - Leeza Court.
The Registered Provider must ensure that the regulated activity accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from Welcome House - Leeza Court.
