During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment: 17 to 25 September 2026.
Bright Care Recruitment Ltd is a small domiciliary care service where the owner was also the registered manager and sole care worker. We carried out this assessment to provide the service with its first rating. At the time of our assessment, the service was providing personal care to 1 person. The service has been rated good overall.
People received safe, person-centred care from a registered manager who knew them well. Risks were assessed and managed collaboratively, safeguarding responsibilities were understood, and systems were in place to monitor incidents and infection risks. The service was not providing medicines support, but policies, training and proposed competency checks were in place should this be required in the future. People’s needs, preferences and capacity were assessed, and care records provided guidance to promote their health, independence, choice and control. The registered manager worked effectively with healthcare professionals to help people access appropriate support.
People described the registered manager as kind, patient and respectful. They were involved in decisions about their care, could request changes to their support and had opportunities to provide feedback or raise concerns. Care was flexible and tailored to people’s individual needs, including their communication, cultural and healthcare requirements.
The service was well-led. Governance systems, including scheduled audits of care records, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and personal protective equipment, provided oversight of quality and safety. The registered manager sought external advice and independent audits to support learning and improvement.
