During a routine inspection

We spoke with six people who used the service. They were all complimentary about the service. One person told us, "I am very pleased; they (care workers) are very good and kind." Another person told us, "If they are running late they telephone me and let me know so I don't worry."

We looked at four people's care records and found them to be up to date. They included information about the care and support provided to people including risk assessments.

People we spoke with confirmed they had a copy of their care plans in their homes and were consulted about the care and support they were provided with.

People told us they knew how to make a complaint and said they were confident that their concerns would be responded to promptly.

We spoke with three staff and looked at staff records. The staff team had received a range of training to equip them to carry out their role and were well supported by the service.

During a routine inspection

We were told that people are fully informed about treatment and they are supported to make decisions about this.

We were told that

'Staff are like family and are very caring'

'I have no complaints and am very, very happy with the agency'

'Staff do really care and work hard'

People with whom we spoke informed us that they are very happy with the service provided by South Norfolk Carers Ltd. They said that staff are very friendly, caring and that they are like family to them.

People feel confident in the knowledge that staff will provide the appropriate care and support and help in any other way they can. Where any additional health needs arise, staff take action to make sure that the appropriate medical help is obtained.
