During a routine inspection

Staff we spoke with confirmed they always treated service users with respect and gave them choices. We were told, 'Every individual gets their own choices with care, they will be supported with independence', and, 'I discuss decision with clients (People who used the service), they are given a choice'.

The people we spoke with all confirmed they were happy with the care received. People told us, 'I am so grateful for the help with my X. I am supported the staff are always there, they know what they are doing. They talk about care and fill in the care file daily'. Another said, 'I am happy with the care. The staff talk to you about what they are doing'.

We looked at three care files for people who used the service. We saw documentation relating to input from partner agencies involved for example, Local authority information, hospital appointment and reviews.

We looked at the staff files and computer records for two staff members. We saw staff had undertaken training that was relevant to their role for example, moving and handling, safeguarding and first aid. The staff we spoke with confirmed they received regular training.

We spoke with two people about complaints. We were told, 'I have no complaints if I did I would go to the agency or the social worker. I would be confident that any complaints would be dealt with'. Another person told us, 'I once had a complaint, I called the office and they sorted It straight away. I am happy and no concerns'.
