Horton House Residential Care Home

Horton House Residential Care Home is registered to provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care for up to 24 people. The assessment commenced on 2 January and was completed on 12 January 2024. The assessment included a visit to the service by two inspectors on 9 January 2024. We looked at 3 key questions: Safe, Caring and Responsive. Following the assessment, the service has received an overall rating of good for all quality statements assessed.

Throughout this assessment, we received a lot of positive feedback from people who used the service and their relatives. They told us they were supported by a familiar staff team who had been trained to support them. Staff had a good understanding of people's needs and risks and supported them to make choices about their care. People told us they felt safe . The registered manager had ensured the staff team at all levels understood their role and responsibilities to protect people from harm and report any concerns. People explained that they were treated with respect and without discrimination or judgment.
