During a routine inspection
We found the provider had systems in place for gaining people's consent to care and treatment.
We found that because appropriate measures were not being taken to ensure that the premises were adequately maintained, service users and others were not protected against the risks associated with unsafe and unsuitable premises and its operation.
We found that the provider did not have effective systems designed to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the services and that some care plans needed reviewing to ensure people's needs and risks were current.

During a routine inspection
We saw that people appeared relaxed and comfortable with staff and others living in the home.
One person told us, 'I love it here and hope to spend the rest of my life here.' Another person said, 'The food is very good.'
People using the service told us they felt staff were supportive and approachable. Four staff told us that being a small team they supported one another and felt the managers were approachable.
We considered that the provider did not have some effective systems to assess and monitor the services provided and environment, which could pose risks.
