Date of inspection 8 and 13 October 2025. The service is a care home providing support to people with a learning disability and autistic people. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, Right care, Right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

We assessed the service due to the length of time since we last visited them and completed a comprehensive inspection.

We found people were being supported in an exceptionally person-centred way by a consistent staff team who knew and understood people’s needs. Leaders had created a culture that ensured people understood they had choice and control over all aspects of their lives. People were supported and empowered to engage with their local community. This included local services such as doctors, dentists, opticians and social settings. The provider supported people who struggled to meet with their friends by creating a friendship group that met regularly. This enabled people to socially engage with others and have a community presence using local facilities such as coffee shops.

Staff were passionate about making sure people were leading a fulfilling life doing activities they wanted to do. There was a strong ethos of person-centred care at the service and staff and leaders consistently supported people to express their individuality and have personalised support consistently.

The provider ensured there was a strong learning culture which focused on continuous development. They enhanced this by identifying extra training for staff including managing the menopause. This enhanced the life experiences of the women at the service both staff and people. Leaders and staff worked in an exceptional way with heath care professionals to ensure people’s human rights were promoted and they had fair and timely access to health care. Leaders made sure there was no experiences of discrimination for people in all aspects of their lives.

We sought feedback from everyone who lived at the service and their families. People told us they loved living at the service and that staff were good at listening to them and supporting them to achieve their goals. They said staff ensured their wishes were respected and acted upon. One person told us of the positive impact moving to the service had had on their wellbeing.

We received consistently very positive feedback from relatives who felt people were being supported in a person-centred way. Relatives told us they saw leaders and staff consistently ensure that they knew what people wanted and that people’s needs were at the centre of their work.
