During a routine inspection
The agency's administrator was available throughout the inspection visit; and we met one of the managers.
The agency was currently providing personal care and support for five people in their own homes. There was no-one receiving nursing care from them at this time.
We found that the agency had reliable processes in place to ensure that people were fully informed about the services that they could provide; and were fully involved in their own care planning.
We saw that people had expressed their views of the agency in cards and letters, through questionnaires, and via telephone calls. These contained very positive comments such as 'Thank you so much for all the care and kindness you showed to x during her illness. Your support was invaluable.' And 'The carers are friendly and encouraging, and are supportive to family members.'
We found that staff had suitable training and experience to carry out their job roles. There were two registered managers in post, one for domiciliary care, and one for nursing care. They ensured that ongoing training updates were provided at regular intervals.
