During a routine inspection

Danbury Care had systems in place to provide and monitor efficient, effective and safe care to people in their own homes in the community.

People's needs were assessed and reviewed regularly to ensure the care was meeting their needs.

Staff were properly checked, trained and supported in order to carry out their caring role.

People who used the service and their relatives were positive in their response to the annual survey and complaints were dealt with appropriately

People told us that they were happy with the care provided by Danbury Care. They said: 'If I have comments to make, they always listen. They are top of the range.' and 'We have no problems with the service. The carers really put themselves out.'

During a routine inspection

People told us that they felt fully involved in their care and how it was arranged. The care workers usually came at the same time every day but didn't always let them know if they were going to be late. One person said "The carers are very polite and all very good. They do what I ask them to and nothing is too much trouble for them."

People had a choice about what tasks they wanted done each day, the meals they wanted prepared and the times when care workers came to visit them. People told us that they felt safe with the care workers and one person said "I feel safe with them now and I have had to get used to it to be able to stay at home."

On the provider's annual survey, one person wrote "I don't think she [care worker] realised what a positive impact she has made on my life."
