During a routine inspection

People and their relatives and friends we spoke with said that staff were kind and caring. They said that they felt safe with the staff that cared for them. They said that staff protected their privacy and dignity.

People said that their individual needs were taken into account and that staff listened to their views about the care that was being provided.

One person said they were fortunate to have the care worker they had. However, they also said that the weekend care often did not come up to the same standards as the care provided during the week.

People said that staff always turned up for visits, their time keeping was good and they stayed for the allotted time. People said that the manager listened and looked into their concerns.

During a routine inspection

People we spoke to told us they were happy and satisfied with the service. They told us they were involved in the planning of their care and support services and that they were kept well informed. One person said- "the service is excellent'; another said 'never had any reason to complain". However, on our visit we found an absence of regular audits, spot checks and formal supervision sessions for care workers.
