During a routine inspection
It was our observation that people were happy and felt safe living at the home. We saw that people had opportunities to participate in meaningful activities if they wanted to, such as watching films together. People were encouraged to live as independently as possible within the restrictions of their disability. For example, people were assisted to maintain their mobility.
We found that there was a dedicated and stable team of staff who worked well together. We interviewed three staff, the care manager, the manager and one of the owners. Staff told us that they had felt well supported in their role and had access to appropriate training and guidance. For example a member of staff told us that supervision had helped them to update their care planning skills.
We found that complaints had been dealt with fairly and in a timely manner, and that the owners had made checks on the quality of the service provided.
