During an inspection in response to concerns

People living at Rutland Manor who were able to make comments about their care and welfare needs were not generally satisfied with the care they were receiving. Comments from people included the following: Although they felt the staff were doing their best, 'they have alot to do', 'they are too busy', 'Sometimes you wait too long and then it's too late.' One relative we spoke to was 'generally' satisfied with the care however they did believe the service had 'gone downhill' and there were not enough care staff or senior staff to assist and advise them.

People told us they did not get out and there were not many activities provided said the staff were too busy to carry out activities.

People told us the food was 'generally quite good' but one person added, 'not alot of it.' People told us the staff were too busy to make them a cup of tea.
