During an inspection looking at part of the service

When we visited last time we found that the care records were not always up to date or accurate. This meant that care staff may not have all the information to provide people with the care they needed in the way they wanted.

The service sent us information that they have met with people that use the service and have discussed with them their needs and wishes and plans of care have been updated with this information.

The service provided us with information to demonstrate that plans of care are audited to make sure they are up to date and accurate.

During a routine inspection

People were very pleased with the support they received from the service. People felt that they were involved in deciding on the care they received and that everything was done with their agreement. One person told us that they were 'in control' and that they decided on what the care workers did and how they did it. People told us that they never received care from someone they did not know, that care workers came when agreed and stayed for the right length of time.

Comments from people about the quality of the service included:

'Good care',

'The staff know what they are doing'.

'Carers polite' and

'Extremely happy with the service'.

People felt that the service listened to them and that they would act on any issues they raised.
