During a routine inspection

During our inspection we looked at care and staff training records. We did this to confirm people were being well supported. We also wanted to ensure staff members had received training to support people with their medication. We spoke with people being supported and their family members. They told us they were receiving safe and appropriate care which was meeting their needs. They said the staff members visiting them were polite, reliable and very professional when undertaking their work. One person said, 'My carers are both polite and courteous. They are very responsive to my requests for help and I find them very punctual'. Another person said, 'Everything is fine. I have a great relationship with the staff and manager. I really can't find fault with anything'.

During our inspection we contacted the Blackpool contracts monitoring team. They told us they currently had no concerns with the service being provided by the home.

During a routine inspection

People told us they had received a visit from a representative from the agency before the service commenced. They told us their needs had been discussed and they had agreed to the support to be provided. They told us their carers provided sensitive and flexible personal care support and they felt well cared for. They said they had no concerns about the care being provided and they felt safe and protected from potential harm.

'We received a visit from the agency before they started to care for mum. We had a very thorough assessment and discussed mums needs in detail. We were all very involved as a family and this helped to reassure me mum was going to be in safe hands'.

'We are always contacted immediately if mums carers have any concerns about her welfare whenever they visit. We attend the meetings when they review her care and they listen to what we have to say'.

'Very happy with this agency the staff and management are absolutely fantastic. We had a very poor experience with another agency which was badly run and I was very concerned about the service provided. This agency was recommended to us and they haven't disappointed. Mum has her dignity back. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone'.

'Very happy with our carers. They do a brilliant job and we would be lost without them. We have the same group of carers who are very competent and understand the support we require for mum. They do a great job'.

'My carers are very kind and patient with me".
