During a routine inspection
We found people using the service were supported by care workers to continue to live in their own homes and to keep their independence by giving them choices in the way the care, support and treatment were delivered. One person said "It's good, I can tell them (the care worker) what to do and they just get on with it".
We reviewed information about two people's care and found that their care needs were being planned for appropriately. People said the care workers were "Wonderful".
Care workers demonstrated how they understood people's care needs and supported them to be independent. They said they did this at all times by letting them make all the choices and decisions any person would make in their own home, such as what and when to eat, what to do with their leisure time and when to go to bed.
We found that the service was well coordinated with people having the same regular live in care workers that were familiar to them. The person told us they were kept informed if there were to be any changes both by the care worker and the agency.
We found the agency has effective systems in place to monitor and evaluate the quality of the service and people's opinions and views would be acted upon.
