All Inspections

19 March 2013

During a routine inspection

The organisation had moved to a new location. However the previous location had not been deregistered with the CQC and the new location added at the time of the inspection; therefore this address still remains on any reports until such time this information is received.

The service was in the process of restructuring, setting up new systems and paperwork, recruiting new staff and amalgamating with two other domiciliary care services. There was no registered manager at the time of our inspection. A new general manager and manager had just been recruited to manage the agency. They told us an application for a registered manager for the agency was in process of being completed.

We looked at supporting care documentation and staff documentation. We spoke with the general manager, the manager, a care co-ordinator, a field care supervisor, the live in manager, four care workers, administrative staff and three people who used the service.

This told us people or their representatives had been involved in making decisions about their care and treatment.

People's care needs had been assessed and reviewed, and care and treatment had been planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. Comments received included' The carers are wonderful people,' 'Very Happy,' and 'The staff are very nice.'

The organisation had systems in place to quality assure the care provided.
