During a routine inspection

As part of our visit to Allied Healthcare Bedford on 12 July 2012, we spoke with five people or their relatives who received care from the service. Everyone we spoke with told us they found the service and staff to be "excellent". One person told us the carers were the best they had ever had and were very professional. Another persons relative told us they couldnt fault the care provided or the staff they are wonderful. Everyone we spoke with told us the care staff were respectful, courteous and involved them in decisions about their care.

During a routine inspection

As part of our inspection we spoke with seven people who use the service, or their

relatives. Everyone who spoke with us praised the service that they received from the

care staff and the staff in the office. They all said that the care staff were kind and caring.

One person told us that, "The staff are so dedicated and you can set your clock by them

they are always on time". Another told us that, "they are 100% perfect".

Everyone said that they had regular care staff and that they were introduced to new staff

prior to them starting work or when covering for regular staff being on holiday. They said

that the care staff were on time, except in the event of an emergency, and that the office

staff contacted them to tell them about this if this happened. Two people said that this had

improved as there had been occasions in the past when they had not been notified when

staff were going to be late.
